**When you submit a tip, be sure to retain your tip number! Your tip number is the ONLY way for Crime Stoppers to associate you to the information you provided in your tip. In order to check the status of your tip or to receive a reward you will have to provide your tip number. If you lose that number, Crime Stoppers cannot provide it to you again.

** To check on the status of your tip, you can:

1) Log into the P3 app (if you submitted your tip through the app) and check the status there.

2) Return here and click the "Tip Follow Up" button

Regardless of the method you use, you will need your tip number to check your tip status, so DON"T LOSE YOUR TIP NUMBER!

Your information is vital to the law enforcement agencies fighting crime in your neighborhood and your information helps them to serve the community better.

REMEMBER - You only get a reward if law enforcement makes an arrest. Here are some tips to help you get paid:

The more information you provide in your tip, the better the chances are that you will get a reward. When law enforcement has more information to work with, they are more likely to able to make an arrest.

Focus on information about specific crimes or criminal activity. Law enforcement cannot arrest someone for being a "bad person". They will need information that helps them prove that "bad person" committed a specific criminal act in order to make an arrest.

DO NOT INCLUDE ANY INFORMATION IN YOUR TIP THAT WOULD IDENTIFY WHO YOU ARE!!! Avoid including information like your name, address, phone number, relationship to suspects, etc... Also avoid information like, "I live right next door", as this would indirectly allow you to be identified by law enforcement. IF YOUR IDENTITY IS KNOWN TO LAW ENFORCEMENT, WE CANNOT PAY YOU.

**You can still provide information directly to law enforcement after submitting in a tip, just DO NOT tell them that you submitted a Crime Stoppers tip.
